A mother who baked homemade cake and decorated it with a metal wall has created a national sensation after sharing her recipe on social media.
Kathleen Rochat, 33, who is from New Jersey, made the cake at home after reading an article about the traditional decoration of a ramadan, the holy month of fasting and prayer, on her Facebook page.
Rochat shared her recipe with the world on Wednesday, with more than a thousand comments.
“I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying it isn’t that bad,” she said.
“I’m just making something fun.
I’m not trying to make a cake, I just want to be able to share my fun with others.”
Rochats family of four owns a home in nearby Bergen, New Jersey.
She told ABC News she wanted to make cake because she was tired of being stuck in the kitchen during the holiday season.
“When I go home, I have to eat,” she told ABC.
“So I’m trying to put something on the table that I can go back to the kitchen and enjoy.”
And so, I thought I would share it with everyone who’s interested in this kind of thing.
“Rothman’s ‘Happy Cake’ inspired the ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ Facebook pageThe family, who lives in a rural area of southern New Jersey in rural Pennsylvania, posted their own recipe on the page in November.”
Happy Thanksgiving to all the families out there that have the hard work done during the Thanksgiving holiday and all the other holidays,” Rochats post read.”
We are blessed that we live in a country that celebrates Thanksgiving and Christmas with love and understanding, so I am sharing this recipe for our family to share with all the people that celebrate the holiday in the same way.
“Thank you so much for all the love and support you have given me, I am so grateful for all of it.”
Roche has since been flooded with comments on the post, with many people praising her work and encouraging her to bake more.
“This was definitely the first time I made a cake I loved and I have since enjoyed it.
I hope it inspires others to do the same and keep baking,” Ruchat wrote.
